Princess Ava

Hi, My motivation for starting this blog is in remembrance of little Ava Rosemeyer, who left this place on the 5th of February 2007 to continue her journey in heaven , she is playing with the angels until her loved ones meet up with her again.

Little Ava is the daughter of my sisters friend Sheye.

Ava lived in a loving home, with her family and her Grandfather who also lives in his house on the same property.
There is one fence around the property, it was built to keep the children safe to go between the two home's which they have done all their lives.
On Feb 3, the family car was unusually parked in between both home's in full sun due to the electric gates being broken , the car was always locked (just not this time).
After telling her Grandad that she was returning to Mummy's, Ava made her way into the car to look for something but was unable to make her way back out. The child safety locks were on the back doors.
It was only minutes later that her mother and grandfather found her........ Minutes in a hot car is all it takes for a small child to be in terrible trouble!

Ava fought for 2 days but then lost her battle .
I have never met Ava personally, but I have never been affected by anything so much outside of my own family. You only need to go through her Mothers blog site http://www.sheyerosemeyer.blogspot.com/ to see how much this little girl was loved and cared for. This made me realise that this sort of thing could happen to anyone of us. So of course the more knowledge and awareness we can arm ourselves and our kids with to prevent the same accident from happening again, the better.

I have posted Ava on my blog not only because she is one of the most breath taking little girls I've seen but to create an awareness, that I have read her parents want to get out there to people , to teach their children how dangerous parked cars are and how to get out of a one if they are ever stuck. Most importantly teach them never to get into a parked car without an adult, but just in case they do ever find themselves stuck, teach them to climb over into the front seat (if the child safety locks are on the back doors),to beep the horn, sit on the horn, lift the button whatever it takes for this to not happen to another child again.
Some may say, well why not just teach them not to get into a car without an adult to begin with?
Isn't that part of being a kid , testing your parents boundaries and sometimes doing the total opposite to what you've been told?
Please make everyone that you know aware of what can happen and has happened to Ava.

This is a slide show of Ava's life , they are photos that were taken by her mother who is a very talented photographer http://creativeclips.net.au/ava.mov ( it takes about 5 mins to load). After looking at it you will also have no doubt that Ava is an 'Angel'.

Ava you will always be in our hearts
and thoughts

Please pray for her family

xx Rachael
